Karl Schneck

Karl started birding at 11 years old in Santa Rosa, CA, birding for three years with two of California's greatest birders as mentors, Gordon Bolander and Mike Parmeter. Karl then got distracted for over 50 years, busy with college, dental school, and work. Karl restarted in 2014 with the Ashland Christmas Bird Count and he  can't believe he ever stopped. Now Karl is loving it more than ever with a passion to learn all he can about the birds. "Birding grounds me and connects me to nature, while bringing together two of my long time interests: birds and photography." Karl has become involved with KBO and he hopes to give back to the birds a small token of what they have given him.
