KBO was recognized for our work in promoting awareness of birds and conservation through participation in International Migratory Bird Day. We have participated in International Migratory Bird Day (now known as World Migratory Bird Day)

through regional festivals, bird banding demonstrations, and bird walks since since the event's (and KBO's) beginning.
