The Tabular Pyle: Based on Peter Pyle’s Identification Guide to North American Birds, Part I (Version: January 2007)

tabpyle cover (72ppi 4x)Developed by C. John Ralph and Walter Sakai, The Tabular Pyle is designed to aid novice and experienced bird banders alike with North American landbird identification, ageing, and sexing. The “Tab Pyle” summarizes information contained in Peter Pyle’s landmark Identification Guide to North American Birds, Part I (Pyle Guide) in a tabular format that provides a quick reference for 200 North American bird species. Banders can now more quickly and efficiently identify, age, and sex birds, (thus reducing bird processing time and capture-related stress) by using The Tabular Pyle in conjunction with the Pyle Guide.

The Tabular Guide (based on Peter Pyle’s Identification Guide to North American Birds, Part I (Version: January 2007) is available for purchase through Klamath Bird Observatory for banders who are already in possession of the Pyle Guide.
