Cats and Wildlife

Cats and Wildlife—A Conservation Concern offers information about this problem and a how-to list for what can be done to help. Domestic and feral cats are non-native predators that have an enormous negative impact on bird and other wildlife populations. Cats kill millions of birds each day in the US, amounting to over a billion each year—one of the greatest bird conservation challenges we face.
